Within the military aircraft sector all Bertrandt Technology (formerly Philotech) business divisions are engaged in the support to our customers for the purpose of achieving and delivering the extremely high technical requirements. We focus on the electronic systems of these high-tech aircraft products because of the challenging goals regarding safety and reliability. All our activities are crucial for fighters, multirole combat aircraft, military transport aircraft, helicopters and UAVs.

 Military Vehicle

The military vehicle business provides a very special challenge because of the mix of massive steel structure and a growing amount of high tech electronic systems. In addition most of these vehicles have a very long operating life expectancy and will be deployed in a wide range of diverse theatres of operation. Bertrandt Technology (formerly Philotech) provides solutions for Integrated Logistics Support, Maintenance and Spare Part Concepts and assists in finding the most cost-effective way to operate the system during the whole life cycle. We support armored fighting vehicles as well as tactical vehicles, transportation vehicles, bridging systems and ambulance vehicles.

Border Control

There are many different systems involved in an effective border control, especially to monitor and control the movement of citizens in rough terrain. Bertrandt Technology (formerly Philotech) supports systems such as naval systems as well as radar and other telecommunication systems to gain a high availability and low life cycle costs combined with the very high technical requirements of the equipment.

 Naval Systems

Bertrandt Technology (formerly Philotech) supports leading European manufacturers of non-nuclear submarines and military naval surface vessels and their main system & component providers with engineering and consulting services. Main areas of support are RAMST (Reliability / Availability / Maintainability / Safety / Testability) analyses, hazard assessments according to MIL-STD-882 / Machinery directive, ILS / LSA program plans, LSA analyses and maintenance plans / concepts.

Bertrandt Technology (formerly Philotech) played a major role in the development of a system specification and safety concept for a lithium ion battery management system. Bertrandt Technology (formerly Philotech) also provided support within the certification phase of a new torpedo system.
